  Lucia Garces

Lucia Garces is versatile Scientific Illustrator and Graphic Designer. For more than 15 years, she has gained valuable experience designing and illustrating a vast range of digital and printed graphics works, from concept to final art. 

Her eagerness to learn, meticulous nature, and passion for science, led her to pursue a much more fulfilling career as a Scientific Illustrator. In 2019, she graduated with Distinction from a Bachelor of Natural History Illustrator at the University of Newcastle. She has won the Australian Museum Scientific Illustration 2017 Scholarship, the William Fletcher Foundation Grant 2018, had a scientific plate at the Margaret Flockton Award Exhibition,  and worked in a wide variety of scientific projects adapting and developing different styles in response to the communication requirements that every singular job needs.
