Carol is intent on using her skills to promote the advancement of scientific, educational and environmental issues. She enjoys teaching and speaking about her nature inspired work and her artistic process at schools, libraries and conferences. She teaches at Eastern Connecticut State University and New Hampshire Institute of Art. She also teaches botanical art at Tower Hill Botanic Garden. For several years, Carol has been an Artist in Residence at the Shoals Marine laboratory on Appledore Island, Maine where she interacts with marine biologists and their students. She is a member of the Guild of Natural Science Illustrators, Society of Illustrators, and Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators.
